Appreciation Ride

Thursday 26th Mar
About 15 years ago, the School of Audiology and Speech Sciences was very fortunate in receiving funding from the Rotary Hearing Foundation to purchase equipment to aid in enhancing articulation in people with and without hearing loss, i.e., ultrasound, nasometers. This equipment has enabled speech-language pathology students to learn cutting edge techniques for articulation therapy for over a decade. As a small token of my appreciation for that and other even more major investments of the Rotary Hearing Foundation, I and my husband Joe have decided to take our geriatric bodies on the fund-raising Ride this year (well only the 7km version), partly in memory of a great Rotary ride to Harrison I did way back when, but mainly to support Rotary in its ongoing commitment to people with hearing loss, of which I now am one due to aging. If you have a few shekels that you want to give to someone, please consider donating them to Rotary's Hearing Foundation or even sponsoring us on our ride. Rotary contribute greatly to support of those with hearing loss in this community. Seven km is not long, and the route is flat so I am assuming we will finish with aplomb, but one never knows what awaits us on any given day.....
